I was introduced to Emma in a previous General Manager role, and she came on board to introduce and promote a new Health & Safety culture. Her approach to the task ahead was refreshing and engaging and delivered some significant results. She has an ability to engage with people at all levels of business and it generated some fantastic results.

In an 18-month period, all H&S policies were overhauled and updated. They were meaningful and most importantly very manageable and clear accountability was identified. As part of the accountability, a full training program was rolled out across all staff, from H&S basics for shop floor staff to IOSH Managing Safely, of which I was happy to be part of. The training program was a huge success, again a result of Emma’s ability to communicate and interact with everyone.

After moving on in my career, I joined an organisation that needed a similar piece of work done and I had no hesitation in engaging with Emma again. Whilst the challenge and business were different, the approach from Emma was the same. Everyone here has gone from dreading the day the H&S guy used to come and visit to looking forward to seeing what Emma is going to throw at us next!

Emma will always be my first port of call when I need H&S support. Despite COVID-19 and her not being able to come on site, she continues to support from afar and is always there when I need help!

Development of event risk assessment training – Emma has developed (and continues to develop) an informative, engaging and fun risk assessment training programme for our fundraising and events teams.
